The Black man who was held at gunpoint and arrested by the police, after they skilled a neighbor’s call a few Black man on the porch, has filed a lawsuit against the officers and therefore the city. Reads a part of the complaint
This lawsuit seeks to determine that this was quite a misunderstanding,’
‘It seeks to vindicate the violation of Keonte Furdge’s constitutional rights.’
The young man, Keonte Furdge, 23, and a lover had just moved into their highschool football coach’s mother’s house, after she gave up the ghost .
The coach had told Furdge that he and his friend could stay there for 2 months. the world may be a mostly white suburb.
The neighbor who wasn’t aware about the arrangement spotted Furge sitting on the patio at 11 am within the morning.
She didn’t recognize him and thought he was a burglar or trespasser, then she called the police on him.
According to the reports, Furdge had gone inside the house and he was within the bedroom when Monona officer Jared Wedig arrived, followed by Officer Luke Wunsch.
They entered his home without knocking or announcing their presence
They didn’t call beforehand either or get a warrant.
They drew guns and began shouting ,
“Police, begin together with your hands up.”
Furdge came out and that they handcuffed him.
He asked what was happening .
More cops had arrived and had learnt from another neighbor that Furdge was living at the house with permission.
Wedig and Wunsch then released Furdge and apologized saying
“Sorry to ruffle your feathers this morning. but there has been a misunderstanding”
