BUTTERFLY FURTHER REMANDED TILL 27TH NOVEMBER 2019

Directorate on Intelligence and Security Services (DISS) agent, Welheminah Mphoeng Maswabi is appearing before the Broadhurst Regional Magistrate court.

The 46-year-old who goes by the code name ‘Butterfly’ who appeared this morning before the Broadhurst Regional Magistrate court under heavy security escort is charged with at least 3 Counts amongst them; financing terrorism (transferring an amount of 2.9 million American dollars to former DISS boss Issac Kgosi). She is also charged with obtaining a Botswana passport by a false statement to immigration officials.

She was denied bail recently with the state arguing that she was a flight risk.

Maswabi is to appear on the 27th of November this year still at the Broadhurst Regional Magistrate court.
