PRISON OFFICER ARRESTED FOR TRIPLE RAPE

 

Ghanzi Prison officer who was arrested on November 22 in connection with multiple rape offences was arraigned before Ghanzi Magistrate Court on Monday

Accused person Oscar Chengeta, 30, was charged with four counts of rape, which he allegedly committed on October 31 at Morama ward, November 10 at Kgaphamadi ward, and November 14 at Khurakhura ward and November 18 at Bosele ward in the Ghanzi Township BOPA reports.

He was also charged with two counts of criminal trespass.

It is alleged that he unlawfully entered the houses of two separate women to intrude upon their privacy in White city ward still in Ghanzi Township. Chengeta, who represented himself, pleaded guilty to one rape charge and one count of criminal trespass but denied the rest.
