BILL GATES CRITICIZES TRUMP’S DECISION TO STOP WHO FUNDING

Celebrated and world-renowned philanthropist Bill Gates has scrutinised the declaration by the United States of America President Donald Trump to discontinue funding the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Gates stated that Trump’s move was dangerous, coming at a time when WHO is striving to slow the spread of COVID-19, a global pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus. Gates posted on Twitter:

Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs WHO now more than ever.
