CORONAVIRUS – COVID-19 CASES ARE NOW AT 3034 IN SOUTH AFRICA

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa on 18 April

Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize said in a Zoom press conference on Saturday evening that COVID-19 infections in South Africa rose from 2 783 on 17 April to 3 034 on Saturday 18 April 2020.

As at 18 April, 52 COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in South Africa, and 903 patients have recovered. The minister added that 108 021 tests have been conducted.
