GABORONE RESUMES THE USE OF PINK MOVEMENT PERMITS INTO GABORONE

Pink permits, which facilitate the movement of people among regions, will be back in use from today.

This is after the permits were suspended for use in and around Gaborone two days ago.

This meant that people who wanted to travel into and out of Gaborone had to postpone travel following the confirmation of case number 24 of COVID-19 in the country.

The case involved a truck driver, who was transporting goods from South Africa into the country.

The coordinator of the COVID-19 task Team, Dr Kereng Masupu said they decided to suspend movements to allow for the tracing of the contacts of the truck driver.
